Foam adhesive for fixing insulation boards to facades and foundations and for fixing interior design boards to walls. Fixfoam foam has very good adhesive properties. It adheres well to most building materials with the exception of Teflon, polyethylene and silicone surfaces. Packed in an aerosol spray, a foam gun can be used, cures with moisture. Cured foam is a good thermal and sound insulator. After curing, it does not resist UV radiation and must be covered. It adheres well to most building materials such as polystyrene, plasterboard, wood, OSB, chipboard, concrete, stone, metal and PVC.
Use
It is used to mount insulation boards made of expanded polystyrene (also known as polystyrene foam or polystyrene, EPS or XPS) on facades and foundations of new buildings, as well as to insulate buildings that need to be insulated. For fixing stone wool. For fastening roof tiles and insulation purposes. For fixing window sills.
Application procedure
Application temperature -5 ° C to +30 ° C, best results at +20 ° C. Can temperature during application: + 5 ° C to + 25 ° C, best results at + 20 ° C. Surfaces must be cleaned of dust, loose particles and oil. The cured foam can be painted with water-based paints.
Method of use:
Hold the can of foam in an upright position, turn the gun towards the can by holding the pistol grip with one hand and turning the can with the other. Make sure that the pistol is not aimed at other people when turning. The canister must not be bolted to the gun with the valve facing up or by turning the gun on the canister. After mounting the gun, shake the can well at least 20 times. The foam outlet can be adjusted with the trigger of the gun. In case of low air humidity (below 50% relative humidity) the substrate must be moistened, because the foam expands due to moisture. The moistened substrate ensures faster curing and a better result. At low temperatures, the foam must be heated in a warm room or in water before work. The room or water temperature must not exceed +30 ° C. Apply the foam adhesive to the insulation boards with a uniform flow, parallel to the sides of the insulation board (3-4 cm from the edge) and one strip in the middle, parallel to the longest side (up to 25 cm between the strips of adhesive). After applying the foam adhesive to the insulation board, wait 2-3 minutes and then press the board against the wall. The level of installed polystyrene foam boards can be adjusted within 5 minutes. Use balconies on balconies, ceilings or long spans.
Cleaning:
Uncured foam can be cleaned from tools and surfaces with PENOSIL Premium cleaner. Cured foam can be removed mechanically after softening with PENOSIL Premium foam remover. Hands, clothes and a foam gun can be cleaned of uncured foam with damp PENOSIL Premium cleaning wipes.
