Internal sealing tape is a vapor-tight tape for covering the joints of windows and doors from the inside.
It provides air tightness, protects the joints of windows and doors and prevents the penetration of moisture into building foam and wall structures.
Adheres well to common building materials.
Can be plastered and painted over.
Stretchable in width and resistant to movements in wall constructions.
Use
It is used to protect window and door joints and building structures from moisture.
The recommended installation temperature is +5 °C to +30 °C.
Mounting surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease and dust.
Chemicals containing substances that prevent or reduce adhesion must not be used.
Surface roughness, unevenness or porosity may reduce adhesion. Non-adhesive surfaces are recommended to be stabilized with PENOSIL Premium BetPrimer primer with binder dispersion solution in a ratio of 1:5.
The adhesive sealant PENOSIL Premium Seal&Fix 709 is suitable for connecting the beginning and end of the joint tape.
Method of use:
Unwind the installation tape from the spool and cut the required length.
Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape and stick it to the window frame.
If the window or door is installed flush with the wall plane, one extra tape width must be left in the corners.
If the window or door is installed inwards from the plane of the wall, half the width of the extra tape must be left in the corners.
The tape is glued around the perimeter of the frame, starting with the bottom bar of the window (chair).
Follow the same procedure on all sides of the window you want to seal.
Then fit the window or door frame, fasten properly and fill the window gap with construction foam.
Once the foam has set, remove the excess foam and attach the other edge of the tape to the siding/wall.
Use a pad roller for optimal grip.
Adhesive tape on both sides of the window tape allows installation of the joint tape before and after the installation of windows/doors and the use of mounting foam.
Use a pad roller for optimal grip.
