Fire and smoke detector - Model Kidde 29HD
This autonomous fire detector meets the requirements of ČSN EN 14604 for installations according to Decree No. 23/2008 Coll., On technical conditions for fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that each new building and defined building must be equipped with an autonomous detection and signaling device.

Optical detector (photoelectric), designed for continuous monitoring of the air for the presence of smoke and fire. Thanks to the photoelectric detection technology, the detector reacts faster to a fire, in the first phase, when a large amount of visible smoke is produced, without an open fire, such as smoke from smoldering objects and the like. In the event of a fire, an acoustic signal of 85 dB is automatically triggered, while the device also signals the alarm optically (by indicating a red LED diode).

The fire detector is equipped with a test button TEST to check the correct operation of the device and HUSH to temporarily silence the fire detector in case of a false alarm. Pressing the button will immediately deactivate the alarm, for about 10 minutes, reduce the sensitivity of the circuits and turn off the acoustic signaling of the detector. Use the HUSH button only if you know the cause of the detector activation (eg during cooking or frying). After approx. 10 minutes from deactivation of the detector, it is automatically reset to the original setting for monitoring the risk of fire. If a high concentration of smoke remains in the room, you can press the HUSH button repeatedly until the room is properly ventilated. This model is equipped with a state-of-the-art Kidde photoelectric sensor.

Thanks to its exceptional modern design, this device, unlike other common fire detectors, can be installed in places with the potential for accidental activation of the "False Alarm" sensor, such as the kitchen, etc. The detector has a built-in automatic control system monitoring performance among other components is a sensor, battery or internal circuitry. In the event of a fault or low battery voltage, this device announces both acoustically and visually. The fire detector is equipped with a special lock to protect against accidental disassembly of the device by either children or third parties.

Battery operation allows for quick and easy installation and ensures proper operation of the detector. Recommended location of the fire detector: in the kitchen and its vicinity, in the living room, dining room, bedroom, hallway, boiler room, cellar, attic and everywhere you use electrical appliances such as electric stoves, etc. The detector is equipped with a system that prevents device installed without battery. Battery operation allows quick and easy installation and ensures the correct function of the detector regardless of voltage (eg in the event of a power failure).

At least one fire detector should be installed on each floor of the house, in front of each sleeping area or in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms.

A functional fire detector provides an immediate warning of smoke or fire in the house, doubling the chance of a person surviving a fire in the house. There are many different types of fire detectors with different functions for their easy operation. Kidde recommends the installation of both ionization and photoelectric detectors to ensure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur in your home.

3 types of sensors are traditionally used for home fire and smoke detectors:

OPTICAL DETECTORS are more effective for detecting slow burning, where smoldering can occur for several hours before the flames ignite.

IONIZATION TYPES OF FIRE DETECTORS are generally more effective in detecting fast-burning fires that spread rapidly and absorb flammable materials.

THERMAL DETECTORS are triggered when the room temperature reaches the set value (usually 56 ° C). These detectors are usually used in places where other types of detectors are not suitable.
