However, depending on the performance of the panel, you can connect the battery above 30Ah directly and permanently without the risk of damaging it. For batteries up to 30Ah and only in case of long-term exposure, use any PWM controller. Even the smallest batteries can be connected for several hours without a controller. Charging current will be max. 1.67A.
