Solar regulator MPPT EPsolar 150VDC / 40A series XTRA - 12/24/48V
The new series of MPPT controllers of the XTRA series brings high quality and maximum equipment for island systems with panel voltages up to 150 V and a maximum charging current of 40A. Battery 12/24 / 48V, PV max 520/1040 / 2080Wp.
MPPT solar controller EPEVER XTRA - a new generation of solar controllers brings high quality and maximum equipment for island systems with panel voltage up to 150 V and a maximum charging current of 40 A. Battery 12/24 / 48V, PV max520 / 1040 / 2080Wp.
This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of island applications, such as cottages, houses, etc.
It is also suitable for use in cars, thanks to the possibility of grounding to the minus pole.
A multifunction display is integrated directly in the MPPT controller for easy system monitoring and possible setting of operating parameters incl. control LEDs.
The controller works as an inverter, which means that higher input voltages and lower currents can process to lower voltages / increase current with high efficiency. So we can use virtually any solar panel. The controller is compatible with lead and lithium-ion batteries.
The solar controller is equipped with the latest technology MPPT (Maximum PowerPoint Tracking) - monitoring of the maximum power point with a sophisticated tracking algorithm, where the solar module operates at the ideal voltage that the solar module can produce at the highest available power. Compared to a conventional PWM controller, MPPT technology increases charging efficiency by approx. 30%.
The maximum charging power to the battery of this model is 40A, which corresponds to the power of the panel 520 Wp if you have a 12V battery, or 1040 Wp if you have a 24V battery, or 2080Wp if you have a 48V battery. If the panel gives a higher power, then the controller will only limit it to its nominal maximum power. The output of the PV modules must not exceed 1.5 times the nominal output of the controller!
You can connect solar panels in series, but their no-load output voltage referred to as Voc must never exceed the no-load voltage value Voc 150V - exceeding this value will permanently damage the controller (here it must be taken into account that as the ambient temperature decreases the solar panel voltage and The Voc specified in the solar panel parameters is at 25 C. Therefore, we do not recommend that the value of the specified Voc exceeds 138V)
Setting the parameters of the controller (mainly the type of battery used) is performed using the built-in LCD or external display MT50 - not part of the controller
You can also set parameters and monitor on your PC - you will only need the EPsolar USB communication cable and software, which you can download for free at the bottom of this product card. It can also monitor and set up using a mobile phone / tablet. You will need the bluetooth module BLE-01 for this.
Today, EPsolar is practically the largest manufacturer of solar controllers, and after more than eight years of experience with its products, we will recommend this model to you as a highly reliable and high-quality product at a reasonable price.
Quick installation:
1. Connect the battery to the solar controller. We install a suitably dimensioned DC fuse on the plus wire as close as possible to the battery pole (position 3)
2. Connect the load (position 4)
3. Connect the solar panel (position 2)
(position 1) - possibility of connecting an external temperature sensor
(position 5) - possibility of connecting an external display MT-50, USB communication cable for communication with a PC, or Bluetooth module BLE-01 for communication with a mobile phone / tablet
