After this time, pour water out of the container through a plastic sieve and spread the seeds on the sieve. Place the strainer in a bowl with a little water, cover with an open lid and place in a warm place, but not in direct sunlight. Rinse the seeds twice a day, the sprouts are harvested for about 5 - 8 days, depending on the type of seeds. During the germination process, enzymes are activated in the seed and the content of vitamins, especially B and C, increases several times. Starches are converted into sugars, proteins are broken down into amino acids and fats into fatty acids. Sprouts also contain large amounts of iron and magnesium. It is best to eat plant sprouts raw so that the valuable nutrients they contain are not destroyed. You can sprinkle the sprouts with greased bread or mix them into a salad. If you want to use the sprouts in a warm kitchen, add them after the meal is finished. It is excellent, for example, in risotto, soups and ground into various spreads.
