The Kidde 5DCO CO detector with an improved sensor replaces the popular Kidde 900-0230UK model.
Carbon monoxide measuring device with LCD display, which shows the current level of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in the monitored area. The indications are displayed in the range of 0 to 999PPM *.

The device performs repeated measurements every 15 sec. Exceeding the maximum CO level is visually indicated by a red LED and an acoustic alarm (loudly pulsating with a signal strength of 85 dB).

The carbon monoxide measuring device is equipped with Test / Reset buttons, which are able to verify the correct operation of the device and a memory button, which is used to display the highest measured CO level detected since the device memory reset. The condition of the sensor, batteries and internal circuits is monitored by an automatic efficiency control system.

If a fault is detected, the LCD display will display information corresponding to the detected fault and a safety signal will be triggered. Integrated power batteries allow the device to be placed in the optimal position, and also provide protection in the event of a power failure. Thanks to the special construction of the device, it is possible to place it not only on the wall in the room but also on flat surfaces, such as a bedside table.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, tasteless and odorless gas produced by the poor combustion of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas, LPG, coal and wood. It can also be produced by poorly maintained or broken fuel burning appliances intended for domestic heating, such as: boilers, gas appliances, karma, grills, clogged chimneys, ventilation systems or damaged flue pipes.

Common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headaches, nausea, fatigue and muscle aches - but these can be easily confused with the diagnosis of flu. It is therefore important to protect your family and home with carbon monoxide detectors.
