It is installed in the engine compartment or in the intake of the vehicle. It must be taken into account that there is as much free space as possible in the direction of transmission and that the ultrasonic signal covers as large an area as possible in the engine compartment. Ultrasound propagates in a straight line like light, meaning that tones will not be active behind all obstacles. In EU countries, it is essential that martens to be installed so that they can only be switched on when the car's engine is switched off, never while the engine is running.
