The slicer for onions and other vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers) will surprise you - it will easily and quickly chop effortlessly into small pieces, especially onions. You put the onion cut into quarters (or other vegetables into smaller pieces), press the piston rod in the lid several times and it's done.
