MPPT controller module for 9-24V solar systems with Li-Ion, Li-Pol, Ni-MH or Pb batteries with a maximum charging current of 5A. The MPPT controller contains an inverter that adjusts the V-A characteristics of the mapping source (solar panel, wind farm, etc.) to the level that is most suitable for charging the connected battery. This achieves the lowest losses and the best use of energy from the source. When using a 12V lead battery, a PV panel with an output of up to 60W can be connected.

Settings:
1) On the controller, set the "MPPT" trimmer to the extreme position clockwise and the "charge" trimmer to the extreme position counterclockwise.
2) Connect a solar panel (ensure standard lighting conditions) or a spare source with the voltage generated by the PV panel (18V for panels with a system voltage of 12V) and turn the MPPT trimmer counterclockwise until voltage appears at the output (LED starts flashing blue )
3) Connect the uncharged battery via the A-meter and set the "charge" trimmer clockwise to the position at which current flows into the battery. The LED starts flashing red.
4) Use the MPPT trimmer to set the point where the highest current flows into the battery. This step must be performed with an illuminated solar panel to be used with the system to create realistic operating conditions.
5) Now connect a fully charged battery and turn the charge trimmer counterclockwise until the charging current is interrupted. This guarantees overcharge protection.
