Multiplus is a powerful DC-AC hybrid converter/charger with pure sine output, with integrated adaptive battery charger and ultra-fast power source transfer switch (battery/external AC source)
Multifunctional converter/charger
The Multiplus is a multifunctional powerful DC-AC converter with a pure sine-wave output voltage, with a sophisticated adaptive battery charger and an ultra-fast power transfer switch (between battery/external power supply). The inverter is housed in a plastic compact housing in a completely new, attractive design.
Proven reliability
Proven reliability of professional Victron Energy inverters with a full 5-year warranty.
The drive incorporates a robust toroidal transformer which has proven its reliability in Victron Energy drives for many years. Inverters are short-circuit proof and protected against overheating, either due to overload or
high ambient temperatures.
High starting power
Needed to start loads such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools.
Programmable relay
Multiplus is equipped with a programmable relay, which is set as an alarm relay by default.
The relay can be programmed for a variety of other applications such as a starter relay for a generator.
1 AC input and 1 AC output
The Multiplus is equipped with one AC input (for the distribution network or generator) and one AC output. The AC output is equipped with a function that ensures uninterrupted power supply. Multiplus will take over the power supply of the connected appliances in the event of a mains or generator failure. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices will continue to function without interruption. If the Multiplus works in island mode, i.e. without an external source, it takes all the energy from the battery or from the connected solar controller. As soon as we connect an external source (distribution network or generator) to the AC input, then the appliances will be powered from the external source and at the same time the Multiplus will charge the battery.
Surveillance mode "Search"
If the "Search" mode is switched on, the energy consumption of the inverter during idle operation is reduced by approx. 70% In this mode, the Multiplus switches off in case of zero or very low load. It then turns on for a short time every two seconds. If the output current exceeds the set level, the inverter will automatically turn on and continue to operate.
Four-stage charging with an adaptive charger and two outputs for charging the battery
The main output provides powerful battery charging through the "adaptive charging" system. The software manages a three-stage automatic charging process to suit the battery condition and adds a fourth charging stage - trickle charge. In addition to this, the Multi can charge a second battery using an independent charging output intended, for example, for generator starter batteries.
PowerControl - A solution for limited power from a generator or external source
Thanks to the digital control panel of the MultiPlus units, the maximum current of the generator or external source can be set. The Multi will then take into account other AC consumers and use any excess for charging, thus preventing overloading of the generator or external power source.
PowerAssist - Increasing the capacity of coastal electricity connection or generator
This PowerControl function allows the MultiPlus Compact units to supplement the power of an alternative source (shore electricity connection or generator) from the battery. Where peak power is only required for a limited period of time, this feature can be used to reduce the size of the generator needed, or conversely, this feature allows short-term high power to be achieved from the normally current-limited shore connection. Once the load is reduced, excess power is used to recharge the battery.
Parallel and three-phase operation
Up to 6 inverters can work in parallel to achieve higher performance.
Operation in a three-phase configuration is also possible.
PC communication interface MK3-USB is used to set parameters and display the current status of the unit.
