MPPT regulator 15A for LiFePO4 batteries with system voltage 12V and for PV panels with max. Power 200W with max. Input voltage 35V and min. Input voltage 15.8V. It is primarily intended for panels with a system voltage of 12V, which generate 16-18V at maximum load.
Brief description of MPPT controllers:
The MPPT controllers use the internal V-A converter to adjust the characteristics of the current source-solar panel so that it is optimal for battery charging. Thus, they can use energy from solar panels better than PWM controllers, which regulate charging only by pulse limitation of direct connection of solar panel and battery, where the pulse width is proportional to the state of the charged battery. In other words, the MPPT controller can generate the ideal voltage and current to charge the battery from the higher voltage and lower current of the source. For example, 18V / 5A converts to 14.5V / 6.2A. The V-A conversion efficiency is usually over 95%, so losses are minimal and controllers can usually be adapted to different types of batteries so that charging is as optimal as possible.
Technical parameters:
- system voltage: 12V
- for LiFePO4 batteries with a nominal voltage of 12.8V
- max. power of PV panels: 200W for maximum use of the controller. When using a more powerful panel, the full power will not be used, but the function of the controller will remain without damage.
- max. output voltage of the PV panel: 35V
- minimum output voltage of the PV panel: 15.8V - verified by own measurement
- max. charging current: 15A
- own consumption: 7mA
- 3-stage battery charging (CC, CV - boost, CV - float)
- CC = charging at full power of the PV modules to the set end-of-charge value (CV-boost)
- CV-boost = charging for 1-2 hours after reaching the terminal voltage of 15V
- CV-float = charging with a holding voltage of 13.8V
- not suitable for lead batteries
- load disconnection at 11-12V battery voltage - adjustable
- LCD display for setting and monitoring operating parameters
- 2 × USB interface
- temperature compensation: –4.17mV / K per cell when charging boost + equal -3.33mV / K per cell when charging float (maintenance)
- Modbus protocol based on RS-485 interface maximizing communication possibilities.
- IP32 protection
- operating temperature: -25 ° C ~ 55 ° C
- dimensions: 189 × 96 × 53mm / 0.42kg
